1. Le journal de TV5
For intermediate and advanced students, we recommend watching TV5 news. TV5 is an international French channel which is available on basic cable in British Columbia and throughout the world.
The program "7 Jours sur la Planète" announces international news in French and has subtitles in French. It can be seen every Sunday at 1pm Pacific time. Comprehension exercises, "Exercices en ligne," related to the news are available online to assist you in your language-learning. Please find these exercises here. 2. Le journal de Radio Canada
Radio Canada is an excellent French-language television channel which largely focusses on issues related to Canada and is mainly produced by French Canadians. This channel is also widely available on basic cable in British Columbia, and can be watched online here.
3. Le journal de RDI
The Canadian station RDI is a 24-hour French-language news channel. The channel is widely available on basic cable is part of Radio Canada. There are some excellent documentaries on this channel and some interesting international news items. Their website is available here.
